THREE unidentified robbers robbed a South Korean national in Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) subway on Sunday. The robber robbed Korean currency (Rs 5.7 lakh in Indian Currency) from the complainant.

The complainant, Choug Mul Ghe, is a garment business Tamilnadu. He visited Marine Drive and attended an exhibition in Fort before coming to CST. On Sunday, around 3.30pm a robber (beggar) stopped Ghe at entrance of the CST sub-way adjoining BMC headquarters. The accused started begging money from the Ghe. Later two more accused came there and started demanding (begging) money. Very soon two accused   grabbed his hands and legs. The third one snatched the wallet from his pocket and ran away.

Ghe landed in Mumbai on Sunday morning. He was scheduled to catch a flight to Delhi from the Mumbai airport in the evening.

“We have registered a robbery case. We suspect beggars may be behind this incident,” said a police officer from Azad Maidan police station.
