Production scheduler cheats “C.I.D. Inspector”

A “C.I.D. Inspector” has been cheated by a production scheduler by promising him lead role in television serial Aankh-Michauli. However, Oshiwara police refused to take action claiming matter is civil in nature and suggested to approach the court.

The complainant is Prem Kumar Tiwari and accused identified as Ajay Singh. 28-year-old Prem Kumar Tiwari is a resident of Sion-Koliwada and has acted as an Inspector in C.I.D. a famous an Indian crime detective television serial. He is also have acted in Phulwa (serial), Jhansi ki Rani (serial), Veer Shivaji (serial), Shobha Somnath Ji (serial), Mehraru bina ratiya kaise kati (Bhojpuri film), Bagawat (Bhojpuri film) and Khoon ka badla khoon (Bhojpuri film).

In the last week of January this year Prem Kumar Tiwari had gone for audition at office of Action Vision production at Andheri (west). Ajay Singh who was sitting among visitors met Tiwari. He introduced himself as Production scheduler of Action Vision production.

He told Tiwari that he is handsome and has a good looking personality. Why doesn’t he try under leading banners ? Singh also gave him solution. He told him that he can set lead role for him in famous serial ‘Aankh Michauli’ telecasting on channel Life Ok. Singh put a condition before him that he can earn Rs 10,000 per day but he should give Rs 2,000 cut to him.

Singh also demanded Rs 1,50,000 in advance from him as ‘investment’ for lead role.

Tiwari paid Rs. 50,000 mortgaging his mother’s ornaments and Rs. 50,000 through personal loan from friends. On February 22, 2014 Singh took money in hotel Gateway, near Oshiwara police station. Surprisingly, as Singh took money his behavior changed. He started ignoring phone calls of Tiwari.

After repeated attempts on April 9, 2014 Singh took Tiwari at Baroda in Gujarat. He told Tiwari that there is a shooting for a film “Wrong Decision.” According to Tiwari the hotel manager came to know that Singh and his brother are cheating aspirants who wanted roles in serials, movies and commercials under leading banners. They took lakhs of rupees from them on a pretext of giving them roles. Manager also came to know that Singh had taken money from all unit members and actors. This was not real shooting. It was a drama only to misguide the actors (shooting members).

Manager demanded hotel bill but Singh was avoiding. Manager abused and booted out all shooting members forcibly out of hotels. Since then Singh started threatening Tiwari. He refused to refund money. Later, he switched off his mobile phone.

On September 10, 2014 Tiwari approached Oshiwara police station and complained against Singh. On September 23, 2014 Assistant Police Inspector (API) S. C. Raut recorded statement (copy available with ABI) of Tiwari and called Singh in the police station. After a little interrogation Raut declared Singh as innocent and told Tiwari that he is not able to pay a single paisa and he (Raut) he cannot take action on him. “Singh bechara to khud karj me dooba hua hai, wo tumhara paisa kya lautayega aur us par kya action lenge,” Raut said to Tiwari.

On October 20, 2014 police gave in writing (copy available with ABI) that matter is civil in nature. Police suggested him to approach to the court.

Fed up Tiwari also complained to Cine and TV Artists Association (CINTAA) against Singh. The CINTA’s senior members Dolly Bindra, Pankaj Dheer, Gajendra Chauhan, Gulshan Pandey and Prem Singh Thakur met Raut and Senior Inspector…but they refused to take any action against Singh.

“I know Ajay Singh. He is cheater. We had gone to police station but police is favoring the accused,” said Prem Kumar Singh.

“Prem Kumar Singh has complained against Ajay Singh. Matter is not with me, now. This is not our job refunding money to anyone,” said S C Raut.

Note: as ABI (abinet.org) spoken to Raut within minute he called Prem Kumar Tiwari. Raut abused and threatened to him stating do not approach media or circulate his mobile number. “Ga….du tu mera kya ukhaad lega. ‘Ma…r…od’ tu mere ko nahin Janata. Maine kitne logon ko raaste pe lagaya hai. Tu court me ja. Main court se bhi nahin darta. Ab tu dekh main tera kya karta hun,” said Raut to Tiwari.

When contacted Ajay Singh said, “this is true that I have taken Rs 1, 00,000 from Prem Kumar Tiwari. But I have given money to producer Saroj Sharma. Saroj Sharma has cheated more than Rs 35 lakh to us. I myself have complained against Sharma in Oshiwara police station. This was Tiwari who had approached me for role. He was ready to give Rs 5, 00,000 to me. I am also getting threat from journalists, leaders and Dolly Bindra. I am innocent person.”
